While each of our caregivers has a unique personality, they all share some important strengths. We don’t hire anyone we wouldn’t send to our own parents’ home, and we understand that soft skills are just as important as professional qualifications. After all, senior care is about more than physically helping someone—it’s about making them feel safe and comfortable, sharing a laugh, knowing how they like their tea or coffee, and improving their quality of life.
Personality and temperament
Some clients appreciate an energetic caregiver who will engage in lively conversation, join them for meals or a game of cards and provide good company during their shift. We have many personable, outgoing caregivers who do just that! However, if your aging loved one prefers a caregiver who is warm and pleasant but also quiet, calm and gives your loved one more space, we can match you with someone who fits the bill. Listening to your feedback
Remember, while we strive to get these matches right on the first try, we can always introduce your aging loved one to a new caregiver as needed—this is never an issue for our team. In some cases, we find that a senior who thought they wanted a quiet caregiver actually enjoys someone more conversational, while an outgoing senior is best supported by a calming, soothing presence.
